Believing Louisiana Southern Favorites like Seafood Gumbo & Po-Boy Sandwiches would enhance the Utah food sector, U. S. Army Retiree and Louisiana Native, Jerrell Carter opened Taste of Louisiana Utah (TOL U) Food Truck in 2016 and relocated (TOL U’s) Food Truck Division to Louisiana in 2024. While Louisiana food is typically spicy, (TOL U) found its niche in the Utah market by serving signature dishes that are well seasoned and full of flavor, but not hot flavor! Business 101 states “know your audience”! Menu items such as fried fish, chicken and shrimp served with savory sides “like no other” such as collard greens, baked cheese grits, crawfish etouffee, red beans & rice or the signature cajun crab fries to name a few are crowd pleasers that enhance any venue or catered event! We believe (TOL U’s) continued success is greatly attributed to our attention to detail by ensuring our unique processes and flavor profiles are consistently executed!
